Paper is very cheap. When purchased in bulk, an A4 size paper doesn’t even cost a rupee, hence we tend to overuse the paper and at times waste it too, but we often forget that it is the economic price that is lower, not the environmental cost, which is more important and relevant than the price in rupees. Recycling paper is a very useful exercise, which teaches us the value of paper. At Nisargayan, we conduct workshops (on request) about handmade paper making.
